HISTORY
Daisy was born the first of seven children to a pair of modest Hanalan farmers, raised on the farmland that comprises the outskirts of Floran. As her family grew, it became increasingly difficult for her parents to assume the responsibilities of the farm and the trials of raising seven children; thus, Daisy took it upon herself to assume the role of "second mother," looking after her brothers and helping around the farm where she could, as well. Her family did well enough for itself, and as her brothers grew older and were able to take on the responsibilities Daisy had long been delegated herself, she began to consider a different path -- a path that would lead to better earnings for herself, and thus a better life for her family.

At the age of fifteen, she set off on her own to the capital city, Floran, to enlist in the army, and hopefully earn her family the funding they needed -- and honor them, as well, the reputation of Hanalan's military notwithstanding. Though she had little actual weapons training, she worked hard and earnestly, eager to learn and improve herself. She began with simple tasks about the Palace, often tending to the animals, a task she excelled at from her upbringing, and though there was never any talk of advancement, she never complained, contenting herself with what she was given.

Then, one day, her simple life changed, when her efforts were unexpectedly rewarded -- she was assigned the task of accompanying Princess Kelita herself, on a pilgrimmage far to the southwest, to the City of Light itself. She met this task with a healthy mixture of anxiousness and excitement, having never been beyond Hanalan's borders, and painfully aware of the responsibility the assignment entailed.

Their small company consisted of only herself, another Knight named Nathan, and of course the Princess, though they hadn't gone far before they discovered that Finlay, the Prince of Hanalan, had tucked himself in among their things and run away with them none the wiser. He was allowed to continue with them, and their journey soon met with several hardships -- their time lost in Kilia has left her sour on the country to this day. They met as well with a young Pegasus Knight named Rae, a friend of Finlay's through the Magic Journals, welcoming her into their party.

Partway through the journey, they received a devastating message -- an epidemic had broken out on the outskirts of Floran, wiping out several individual farms and decimating many of the local villages, Daisy's entire family among the deceased. She chose to continue her journey, refusing to dishonor the memory of her family with failure, but the news affected her deeply; she spent many months in a deep depression, though she tried her best to mask her feelings to her companions.

Eventually, they reached Lucre, their final destination. While they were making preparations for the return journey, it came to their attention that Rae's older sister, Lauren, was traveling in a large group headed to the nearby Papan Island. They decided to accompany Rae to the island to meet with them, and when Rae elected to stay with her sister, Finlay took it upon himself to stowaway a second time, this time with Rae and her new traveling companions.

After a brief panic, Daisy, Nathan and Princess Kelita learned of his whereabouts, and unable to change the situation directly, were forced to allow him to continue with them while they themselves set about returning to Floran. The journey home was largely uneventful, taking them back along the same roads they'd previously travelled (though they elected to stray from their previous path through Atsiria rather than attempting to navigate Kilia a second time, a decision which none of them is sure was the best to make, even now.)

Their group was disbanded for a time after returning to Floran, then reunited when the town of Harcha underwent a catastrophe of its own, requiring aid from the Crown itself. Daisy, Nathan and Princess Kelita again departed to deliver the requested aid, along with several new companions -- Eri, the owner of a local flower shop, and Reiz, her Atsirian boyfriend. During their time in Harcha they devised a plan to take a vacation and explore Eire together, deciding on Southern Dentoria as their final destination.

Before they could depart, however, the situation with Prince Finlay in the south complicated itself -- he was kidnapped by pirates for a brief period -- and the King of Hanalan directed Daisy and several other Knights to join him in Atsiria, to both keep him safe and report his whereabouts and status to the King in frequent intervals. Having become attached to her new friends, and romantically involved with Nathan, besides, Daisy accepted this mission only reluctantly.

She is now traveling with Finlay in Atsiria, with new traveling companions -- Ian, Nathan's insufferable elder brother, and Paul, a meek, quiet man she finds boring at best, along with the Lords and Lady of Franel and their sizeable retinue.



PERSONALITY
Having grown up the only girl among seven children, Daisy is a raging tomboy, as you'd expect. She's utterly lost when it comes to interacting with nobility or acting with any measure of refinement, a country girl through and through, and her comments tend to be rather inappropriate (both timing and content wise, naturally.)

Though she acts as though this doesn't bother her, she does wish she could better herself, and often feels silly and insecure concerning her behavior, not to mention out of place. Her long exposure to the Prince and Princess themselves have helped this greatly, though it still resurfaces from time to time, contrary to what her confident, upbeat exterior would have you believe.

The news of her family's fate left her a good deal more serious than she'd ever been, though with time, she reached a cautious medium, leaving her more mature than she'd been without robbing her completely of her very Hanalan sense of humor.




APPEARANCE
Daisy's around 5'5" in stature and slender, although stronger than she may seem for having done orchard work most of her life. She has chin length fire red hair and reddish-brown eyes, and a slight tan from working in the sun a lot of the time. She mostly dresses in vivid colors such as red and yellow.
